Normally Christmas time is usually a stressful and panic-induced time for me but luckily this year wasn't too bad. I was able to get these 2 gifts well in advance so I was pretty relieved with that.

The first is this gorgeous clutch/crossbody bag. This little gem went to my cousin (the same one that got the bh brush set). I've never got her a bag before and I know how handy then are! She has a lot of small crossbody bags and she goes out a lot, so I kinda wanted to find a nice medium for her and I think this bag is perfect. Black with gold hardware is universal and pretty much goes with any outfit. It's a larger fold-over clutch and the cut-out handle creates an ease to carry it, but I also made sure the bag had the long straps in case she did want to sling it over her shoulder for easier carrying. I'm happy to say she totally loved it!

The next item is an adorable, portable and super-handy little makeup set from Sephora by Sephora. It went to my brother's girlfriend. She's from South Korea and has a lot of Korean makeup but not a lot of North American makeup so I wanted to get her a little something that she could use. This set is Holiday and Limited Edition, so I thought it was perfect! It comes with 8 eyeshadows that are absolutely gorgeous and I thought would suit her eyes and complexion perfectly (Purple on brown eyes? Yeeessss please). It took me a while of fiddling, but I finally figured out that the bottom slides out and comes with 5 lipcolours and 1 blush. I just love this set and she loved it too! Because it's small, it easily fits in her handbag and the 2 brushes that come in it are super useful because she does a lot of her makeup on the go.

Out of all the gifts I bought this year, these 2 were the ones that fit most with my blog and that I wanted to share with you all!

What beauty/fashion-related items did you buy for your loved ones?

HAUL | Old Navy

Hello! I'm so sorry about not posting very much this week. At the start of September, my workplace found out that not only the building, but the entire block will be demolished to make an indoor shopping center. We have until the end of September and then we need to find new jobs. I've been stressed and tired all week, trying to figure out what my next steps will be, hoping someone will call me back for a job.

Anyways, I was in super duper deep need for a new pair of jeans so I stopped by Old Navy because I've had the best luck with their jeans and their fit. Surprisingly, I guess they changed the style of how they're made because a lot of them fit really oddly. And when I needed a Regular length, they only had Short or Long available. Obviously, I was really not having a successful shopping trip, but finally after trying on probably 10 pairs, I found the right ones.

But that it totally not what this haul is about! After leaving the change room, I found my mom browsing through the jewelry rack and saw she had her hand full. One of the racks was a sale rack and it had everything for $1.99 so after much browsing, we picked out a whole bunch of earrings.

I only got three pairs: the dangly blue, dangly light pink and the multi-tiered black, the rest my mom got. I looooove all of my choices and I'm so happy! Honestly, Old Navy jewelry is usually really bad quality and hot glued, but these were surprisingly well made. My favourite are the black ones because they're so unique and look amazing on the ear.

HAUL | JustFab

Hello hello! It's been a very long while since I've done a haul post (for me at least), so here I am, back with another. I've been on a strict budget because of my new (and unnecessary) MacBook Pro splurge, so I've been having a real hard time telling myself "no" to spending money on things I don't need (but really, really want).

A few weeks ago I was on JustFab.ca and browsing through their selections, when I spotted the first clutch. Literally, I gasped. I mean, I know everyone on Tumblr is always "screaming" and "crying" when they're just sitting at their computer with a neutral face, but my reaction was 100%.

I've been crazily obsessed with black and white vertical stripes, mostly on bags, pants and tights. So with that being said, it was something that I knew I just had to have. Unfortunately I was at work when I saw the bag ($39.95), and I was not going to enter my credit card information there, so I closed the window and eventually forgot about it.

Recently, I opened up an email from JustFab and noticed that they were having a summer clearance. Of course I was interested in cute items for sale, it's my second nature (especially when on a budget)! So when I was looking through their bags, I was pleasantly surprised to see my striped bag (appropriately named Yacht Club) to be... wait for it.... $10!!!! I'm telling you, it was destiny. When I ordered I was so excited I forgot to check the material of this bag, but I was hoping it would be a soft material. When I got it, it turned out to be a faux leather, but I'm honestly glad now because if it were a material, the white would get filthy in seconds. The purse is a perfect envelope-style and is very slim, so it won't fit a ton of stuff, just the needs. It's larger, so it fits nicely in the hand.

I was going to checkout and run, but I kept browsing and then spotted the second bag (Dare You). Do you guys watch the show Girls? There's this character named Jessa. She's British and beautiful and has traveled all her life. She's gathered all these different cultures within herself and become this very dimensional and interesting character. I feel like the second bag reminds me of that. It looks very cultural, different and unique, which is exactly why I love it. Plus, it only cost me $15! It came with a long, gold chain that can be removed in that it to be a true clutch. I've been wearing it all week as a regular purse, and find it to be very large and roomy (except my wallet is so big it's taking up 90%).

I just checked their website right now and they still do have these bags, only in different colours, so if you want them, run!

HAUL | JustFab

I'm one of those people that's pretty good with buying things. I can ask myself "Do I need it?" and if I don't, I can put it away. But, there are those times that I spot something and I just know that I have to have it, or it'll plague my mind. And although I know I won't have very many chances to use it, for my lack of social life, I enjoy looking at it, stroking it, singing to it. Just kidding.

On the website, the bag is Louis Vuitton-inspired, which I think is the main reason why I loved it so much. LV is my favourite designer with my not-so favourite prices, so I think this is a great alternative without having to buy a fake. I loooove the pleather and gold detail strap at the front and the fact that it opens up like an envelope, but it also has a zipper inside just to be extra safe. I'm always supremely paranoid about the contents of my purse falling out, so it's nice to know they're good and safe. I also love that inside there are the two compartments for a phone and whatever else. Clutches don't usually offer that luxury, but I'm glad this one does. Considering I usually fill up my purses, it's nice to have my phone in a consistent spot so that when I need it, I'll know where it'll be. And finally, I love the fact that it comes with a chain and that it's such a large bag. I love big clutches that I can cling to, but it's nice to know that if my hands get tired, I can just snap on that chain and swing it onto my shoulder.

RE-HAUL | MAC, Costa Blanca X, Sephora

So I ended up exchanging my Ocean Dip nail polish for MAC's Creamsheen Glass in Loud & Lovely! When I went into MAC and the sales lady told me that I would have to send back my nail polish by mail, but then she went into the back to ask and they made an exception for me. She was so lovely and helped me pick out this gorgeous colour! I was going to originally purchase a lipstick in Show Orchid, but they didn't have it and I couldn't find a colour I really loved (I also swatched Hibiscus and didn't love it as much as I thought I would) so she ended up suggesting I get Loud & Lovely. I tried it on and it was beautiful! It was $22 CAD so I had to pay the difference of $4. I also decided to keep Lush-Light Bronze after comparing it with Gold-Go-Lightly. My mom really liked Lush-Light Bronze.

I then stopped by Sephora because I desperately needed a new Urban Decay Primer Potion. I was going to purchase the jumbo one but they were out of stock and their smaller size comes in the tube form now! I ended up picking that up for $23 CAD but because I still had store credit I ended up only paying $14 for the product! I got the original one.

I also stopped by Costa Blanca X because they were having a sale. I love this store and own a couple things from them. I was going to get this cream and gold clutch with wood on the outside, but my mom wanted to buy it and it was $30 CAD and I didn't want her to waste her money, so instead I picked out this larger black and gold clutch that was onsale for $15 CAD! I love it soso much and can't wait to use it the next time I go out!

And that's my haul! :D
